I created the habit tracker to keep track of what I want to accomplish - each side = 1 month. I fill in my 3 spots on the planner and then highlight the weeks when they are done. Then I go to the next empty 3 spaces and write them again for the next week.
There's just something about writing goals down that make you more likely to follow through on them. I don't want to completely switch everything about my life around - I wouldn't stick to that much of a change. So I have 3 goals that I am tackling at a time on a daily basis. They are:
1. Jog 3-4 times a week
Tyler is in running club at his school - I was surprised they had something like that so young but we love it! So I have a little buddy most of the time when I jog :) So far I have made this goal.2. Eat 9+ grams of fiber for breakfast at least 3 times a week
This is the one I struggle with the most actually. It was recommended by my doctor to have more fiber and I have to eat this cereal that looks like dog food and isn't the tastiest. It doesn't help that I'm not a big breakfast eater either and I don't like cereal. ha I am looking into other options to get enough fiber intake for the week.3. Read at least 1 chapter of the Bible every night
We have actually been good at doing this every night as a family. Tyler will even remind us when it's getting late that we have to read still. It's so sweet. But I really wanted to keep track this month and make sure we are reaching our every single night goal as I believe this is the most important goal on the list.Monthly Goal
I put a space on the habit tracker at the bottom for both notes/to-dos for the month or maybe a positive quote - really this is a free space to write down anything that will help you reach your goals for the month. The other spot at the bottom is for the monthly goal you would like to reach for that month. It could be related to your weekly goals or it could be something else completely. My monthly goal is not related to my weekly ones. It is related to my business goal to reach 500 followers on Instagram - less than 100 to go!How to use the Habit Tracker
I made the habit tracker in A5 size paper to fit my planner. You can print it out on regular printer paper and cut it to size. I love my planner so much - it's even a pretty pink color! I've linked it above. If you don't have an A5 planner you can still print these out on regular sized paper but it will have a border where to cut on the front side.
- If you do not have a double sided printer, you can print these back to back but will have to print the first page only and then flip over and print the second page only
- You can use regular printer paper, the one I use is a little thicker - 28 lb. - see which one I use here
- Once the habit tracker is printed, you can cut it out for an A5 planner with the guide lines on the front side (the back doesn't have the lines but will line up). Find my paper cutter here.
- Last of all, you will want to punch holes to put in your planner. This is the 6 ring hole punch I have for use with A5 size paper
